Missy Vanderbilt, of the “Missy-Kelly Team” at RE/MAX Associates, has enjoyed selling residential real estate for past 23 years in Dallas, Texas. Her team consistently ranks among the top 100 RE/MAX offices in the United States, closing 183 transactions in 2003. Missy has also earned numerous RE/MAX Top Producer honors, including the prestigious Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement awards.

Missy co-founded “RE/MAX Associates of Dallas” in 1984, and her husband joined the team in 1995 as co-owner, designated broker, and office manager. In 2002 the Vanderbilts sold their office to focus on the growth of their varied business portfolio, handing daily operations over to a long-time friend and trusted colleague in 2003, who became a partner in the business after 20 years in the title side of the transaction.

Missy has remained actively involved in the Dallas community, serving for ten years on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Central Appraisal District, and acting Past Chair of the White Rock/Lake Highlands Family YMCA, working with both the facilities and capital campaign committees to build the new Lake Highlands YMCA. She is a graduate of Leadership Dallas and served on the Leadership Dallas Alumni Association Board of Directors, is a former Director of the Greater Dallas Association of Realtors, and former Vice-Chair of the Northeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

Currently Missy and Dean are semi-retired and living much of the year in Playa del Carmen on the beautiful Caribbean coast of Mexico. They have two grown children, two precious grandchildren, and an adorable, spoiled dog. A graduate of U.C.L.A., Missy loves to travel, particularly to foreign destinations. She also enjoys golf, tennis, snorkeling and scuba diving. Thanks to their consistent real estate success, they are enjoying a delightful life in the paradise they’ve built for themselves.
