At a crossroads with her career choices in 2001, Dawn Lane decided to take her mother's advice and enter the wild world of real estate. However, unlike her mother, a 30-year career veteran, Dawn wasn't immediately inspired by her new vocation, and though she did a few transactions, her career didn't take off like gangbusters.
