Wayne Furlong's story of his rise in real estate is nothing short of inspiring. Five years ago he was subsisting on $18k a year and scrounged for quarters & dimes on Wednesdays when McDonald's had a special. He drove an 18-year old car with no gas tank, which he kept running by using a 5-gallon plastic boat fuel container in the back seat. He and his wife hadn't taken a vacation in 10 years.
One day, after a series of progressively worse employment and financial setbacks, Wayne's wife suggested he get into real estate. Although his first response was 'I can't do that, I don't even like people!', Wayne took her advice and joined a local real estate office in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Determined to break out of his cycle, Wayne applied himself ferociously, and the end result was a testament to perseverance: he closed 1055 transactions in 1015 days - that's a deal a day for 3 solid years! In this week's call Wayne describes his struggle & subsequent rise to the top, and the steps he took along the way that got him there. |
