Back in the mid 1990’s the Internet was transformed from a fledgling group of networked computers to a global phenomenon of virtual interconnectivity. Today over 1 billion people use the Internet, according to Internet World Stats. For the past 10 years or so, “Internet Protocol, Version Four” (IPV4) has remained the infrastructural backbone that allows the Internet to exist. However, another, newer version of that infrastructure is nearing completion: dubbed IPV6, this new backbone has capabilities that far exceed what we currently know as the Internet, and will once again make a profound impact on our lives, not to mention the potential it has to dramatically change an agent’s value proposition. Internet expert, Agent, and new iSucceed Mentor Andy Norton joins us this week to explore this exciting new version of the Internet. Tune in this Counseling Call and learn:
- What exactly is IPV6, and how it differs from IPV4.
- How IPV6 will most likely affect your real estate business.
- How you can begin to prepare now to take full advantage of the arrival of IPV6.
- The ethical issues of IPV6, especially the balance between personal privacy and national security.
